The Boxer Rebellion in Japan

tbr2

"Our relationship with Japan runs a lot deeper than a few gigs..."

Since getting together almost 10 years ago, Nathan, Todd, Adam, and Piers haven't exactly had the easiest of rides in the music 'game'. Support slot setbacks, disappearing record labels and chart politics would have been enough to make many a band call it a day. But not these guys.

Determination, self-belief, real talent and bloody hard work is what sets them apart from most of the bands out there, and 2009 saw The Boxer Rebellion getting more of the credit they truly deserve... and their latest album, Union, was voted the 'No.1 Alternative Album' by iTunes US.

You should already know all about The Boxer Rebellion...if not, get to know!

ModernFuss were lucky enough to catch the Tokyo leg of their Japan tour, after which we hooked-up with Nathan, the 'shortest member of the band', to talk all things Japan (and more)! Check it out!

“Being trendy isn’t an issue... we start the trends!”

Never has a truer word been said... starting trends is what Diplo and his Mad Decent crew do best!

This Saturday at the RocTrax night in Womb see's the return of Diplo; DJ, producer, label owner and all round hero. He's the cherry on top of one of the best line-ups we've seen in Tokyo town for a longggggggg time...think DEXPISTOLS, M.S.K, Gaines, Kango, Galbitch and many more! For details see here.

Diplo took some time out of his packed schedule ahead of his trip to Japan to talk music, fashion and all things important! Check it out!

Twisted Wheel

Twisted Wheel are Jonny, Rick and Adam. 3 northern lads from lovely Oldham, in Greater Manchester. And they're just about to smash Tokyo!

One of the hardest working bands out there, they've supported all your favorites... Oasis, check. Paul Weller, check. Kasabian, check. We could go on and on...but we're more interested in the Wheel'!

ModernFuss were lucky enough to see their Japan debut at Fujirock last year...and they turned out to be one of the higlights of the festival! They're currently midway through their second trip to Japan, this time supporting Australian giants JET, before playing their own headline show in Harajuku Astro Hall this Saturday (Jan 9th, ticket details here).

We caught up with them today to find out more...

Cliff Edge Store Review

Rare and Exclusive Items Available Worldwide.

Eleven years ago a small store in Yokohama opened it's doors to the world stocking big brand names such as Bape, Stussy and Supreme. Originally a bring and buy store, Cliff Edge Ltd. now stocks both new and used exclusive clothing from some of the largest fashion labels on the Japanese fashion circuit.

We are big fans of the Cliff Edge Store, after snapping up some great Bape items over the years we though it was about time we stopped being rude and introduced ourselves... So we took a trip down to Yokohama to meet up with Tak and Yu in the store to get some pictures and to see whats going down...
