Dearest Readers,
Yes, the summer is here and we are back after a long period of absence. What better way to kick off your Summer and celebrate our return than to throw a little party with some old friends.
Join us for our pre-Fuji Rock, Summer party bonanza on July 24th at Soft in Tokyo.
Stay tuned; we will announce the full line up and provide you with more info before the night is out.

ROCTRAX are slowly but surely taking over the Tokyo club scene, even we have got in on the act having MYSS play at our last Short Pants Party.
TAAR is the lovely chap who showed up to support MYSS and it turns out that not only his big brother is DJ MAAR, but he has lived in Leeds and likes to DJ Electro and Dubstep we just couldn't resist a cheeky interview with him.

The xx have earned an enormous amount of critical acclaim for their self titled debut album both at home in the UK and across the pond in the US.
Now on a world tour the three school friends from Wandsworth, London are here in Japan to promote and play their first show in Tokyo.
We stopped by their management office to grab ten minutes with Jamie and Romy and pick their brains. Read the interview here...

Go Yamashita is DA MONDE
Go Yamashita is a kick ass Japanese club DJ that has been killing it with the likes of MAAR and HIRO at his XAVIER NIGHT in Club Asia. After starting to DJ back in 2007 Go adopted the name DJ5o but has since dropped that title to become DA MONDE, of course he is still as active as ever performing live DJ sets and producing tracks.
We caught up with Go ahead of our very own Short Pants Party. Check out his interview here.

Yasumasa Yonehara, or yONE as he is also known is one of Japan's most celebrated and popular photographers.
He basically has the best job in Japan, taking fantastic pictures of beautiful women amongst other cool shit. His pictures have appeared in numerous magazines and ad campaigns the world over, as well as being ripped off by American Apparel he also dabbles in a little bit of blogging on Hypebeast and Upper Playground.
See what yONE's saying here...
Japanese club music master MYSS has a big month coming up. On May 19 their first album MYSS TAKE will drop on ROC TRAX. But before that, MYSS has the honour of being the first headliner at our Short Pants Party on May 7!
We caught up with Masayasu to talk new album, Short Pants Party and more.

Opera Mini Mobile Browser
Trawling our favorite blogs and stores online has become somewhat of a full time job these days, luckily our old pals at Opera Software have giving us a helping hand when it comes to browsing on the go.
The standard Safari browser on the iPhone and Touch may do its job pretty well, however after doing a little experiment and using the new Opera Mini App for a few days we have found it to be a whole load better when it comes to navigating through multiple pages and bookmarking favorites, not to mention the compression technology that it uses to speed page load time and of course save you a bit of cash. Download the App in the iTunes store.

Don't Let The Name Fool You, Dusty John Thomas Are Neither Dirty Nor Cocks...
They're bloody good DJ's. LHz and 2G are Dusty John Thomas and not only have we have had our grubby hands on their Mix CD for a couple weeks now but we have also had the pleasure of seeing them DJ live and ask them a few questions.
